The Institute of Oncology is one of the larger Cancer centers in Israel and endeavors to combine the highest levels of patient care, medical education, and research. Our goal is to deliver the best care possible and to develop better diagnostic and therapeutic tools to prolong lives.
The impressive new Oncology Building harbors the Outpatient Clinics, the Day Care Unit and the Radiotherapy and Brachytherapy. The Inpatient Department is located in the central hospital building on the 5th floor. We have collaborative tumor boards with the surgeons, gastroenterologists, intervention radiologists, gynecologists, urologists, hemato-oncologists, pediatricians, ENT physicians, and with each of the Internal Medicine Departments. There is special and close collaboration with the Palliative Care Unit and the Hospice.
We have several units according to the type of Cancer or modality of treatment: Breast Cancer, Lung Cancer, Gastrointestinal Cancer, Melanoma, Radiotherapy, Brachytherapy, Uro-Oncology and Neuro-Oncology.
Our research laboratory operates at the translational research level in order to provide the basis for innovative, internally developed clinical research programs.
