The Cardiovascular Imaging unit has been operating in the diagnostic department since 2004.

This is the first and only unit in Israel combining daily dedicated comprehensive cardiovascular imaging including cardiac CT and cardiac MRI.

The equipment in the unit includes: two state of the art,64 slice CT scanners, (Philips, GE ), two state of the art MRI scanners (1.5 Tesla and 3 Tesla; GE). These scanners are connected to dedicated workstations specially designed for cardiac imaging reconstruction and interpretation. These scans (cardiac Ct, cardiac MRI, MR angiography) are reconstructed and read by an experienced radiologist specializing in cardiovascular imaging., Knowledge and experience are the key to the correct  interpretation of these scans.

The cardiovascular unit is operated by a dedicated team of leading experienced technicians, radiologists and cardiologists, with vast experience in cardiovascular imaging and cardiac catheterization. The unit operates in close collaboration with the unit of invasive radiology (in the diagnostic imaging department), the heart institute (in Sheba Medical Center), other cardiology departments in Israel and the department of cardiovascular surgery.
