Maternal Fetal Medicine Service

The Maternal Fetal Medicine Service and the Obstetrics Service provide a wide array of perinatal services for pregnant women.  These services range from prenatal care for the healthy mother to the most sophisticated care for the complicated pregnancy.  Perinatologists provide the latter services, most of who have completed fellowships in the USA and Canada.  The genetic counselors, geneticists, ultrasonographers and perinatal nurse clinicians assist the perinatologists in rendering full service care to obstetrical patients on the Obstetrics Service. These specialists also perform CVS, amniocenteses, percutaneous umbilical cord sampling, advanced Ultrasound and Doppler.
