The Pediatric Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Section, deals with all facets of ENT medicine for children.
The unit's specialties include:
- Ear and Hearing
Evaluation and treatment of the ear and hearing, congenital and acquired disorders (Tympanoplasty, middle ear reconstruction, Mastoidectomy). We have performed over three hundred Cochlear Implantations.
- Head and Neck Surgery
Laryngeal and neck disorders (congenital and acquired, malformations, cysts and tumors)
- Nasal and Sinus Disorders
Evaluation and surgery, including endoscopic nasal and sinus surgery.
- Air-Way Reconstruction
Evaluation and reconstruction of congenital and acquired airway stenosis, with special attention to homecare Tracheostomy.
- Voice Clinic
Evaluation and treatment of voice disorders, fiber-optic and rigid-telescopic stroboscopy examinations.
Collaborative efforts with the Center of Hearing and Communication Disorders provide optimal care for our young patients. |
