Getting to the Heart of the Matter
New Center for Treatment of Arrhythmic Heart Conditions Opens
Sheba’s state-of-the-art facilities for cardiac care were expanded with the opening of the new
Eli and Zohara Davidai Arrhythmia Center. The Center is an expansion of existing facility for heart failure patients and creates a new venue to research into cardiac health including genetic arrhythmia.
Patients receive individual treatment plans with an emphasis on patient education featuring a pre- and post-operation teaching program. Services include electrophysiology studies, atrial fibrillation, tilt-table testing, Holter monitoring, fitting of pacemakers and cardioverter defibrillators as well as other interventions to improve the efficiency of cardiac functioning.
Professor Michael Glickson, Director of the Eli and Zohara Davidai Arrhythmia Center, explained the benefit of the new center for patients, "We offer a full range of treatments for patients from around the country using the most advanced technologies in cardiac care. The Center creates a complete framework to enhance patient health.”
