Sheba Awarded Prestigious Israeli Green Label

Sheba Medical Center is proud to announce that it has fulfilled all the standards required by the Standards Institution of Israel for receiving the Israeli Green Label for environmental quality. This highly respected label is awarded to medical institutions that meet stringent standards for eco-friendly planning, construction, and operations, all while upholding public health and quality of life.

To earn the Green Label certification, Sheba met criteria like eco-friendly planning and construction, using green materials, saving energy, managing water and waste efficiently, adopting eco-friendly procurement policies, encouraging a culture of environmental conservation among staff and patients, and adhering to regulations.

Sheba Medical Center's commitment to enhancing environmental quality has led to a significant milestone: going paperless. By digitizing forms and documents, Sheba has drastically reduced the use of paper and printers, marking a major step forward in sustainability efforts. We are also focusing on projects with a broad environmental impact. Such as computerized control for water conservation, energy-saving initiatives, advanced waste separation, using electric transportation across the campus, and more.
