The Joseph Sagol Neuroscience Center strives to orchestrate and initiate pioneering neuroscience research, establishing a center of excellence for clinically significant studies in the field.
The Center employs researchers and doctors who combine basic research with clinical research on brain diseases, in pursuit of advancing applied science in the field. Since its establishment in 2004, the center has conducted a wide range of scientific studies, produced new knowledge and trained numerous PhD and MSc graduates in neuroscience. Funding for the center comes from various sources, including the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the American Federation for Aging Research (AFAR), the Israeli Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Alzheimer's Association.
The Joseph Sagol Neuroscience Center attracts students from various universities in Israel, providing opportunities for graduate students to conduct research and undergraduate students to complete internships. Additionally, the center accommodates international students seeking practical research internships.
