Sheba ranks #1 in Ministry of Health's Quality of Care metrics
Once again, Sheba tops the list of Israel’s centers of medical excellence in achieving quality targets
Maintaining a high level of care and service: In 2023, the Sheba Medical Center stood out for its exceptional quality of care, leading the pack among Israel's centres of excellence by achieving the highest compliance with national targets. (The results are based on a report released by the Ministry of Health on 24 July 2024).
The report shows that Sheba Medical Center has the highest number of indicators - 51, compared to other Israeli hospitals like Ichilov and Hadassah Campus (43 each), Soroka (35), Rambam (31), and Beilinson (26).
Quality indicators are a series of metrics based on clinical research for optimal care and are designed for benchmarking. As part of our commitment to transparency, Sheba goes beyond the Ministry of Health’s requirements by publishing additional indicators. This stems from Sheba's strong belief in the importance of making this information accessible to patients.
Indicators are updated on our website every quarter, and have recently included such information as: catheterisation within 90 minutes for patients who arrive at the hospital with a heart attack, ensuring patients are discharged by 16:00, monitoring infections with resistant bacteria, adherence to hand hygiene in departments, and more.
