This year, whooping cough is spreading nationwide at an accelerated rate compared to previous years. This contagious disease, caused by bacteria, poses a significant threat, particularly to infants under six months old. In June, a five-week-old baby tragically died because the mother had not been vaccinated. For pregnant women, getting vaccinated against whooping cough is crucial.
