14-year-old youth saved by Sheba doctors

A 14 YEAR OLD BOY FROM GAZA, WHO SUSTAINED HEAD INJURY FROM A ROCK, SUCCESSFULLY UNDERWENT SURGERY AT THE EDMOND AND LILY SAFRA CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL'S NEUROLOGY DEPARTMENT AT SHEBA MEDICAL CENTER AT TEL HASHOMER

Dr. Zeev Feldman - Director of the Pediatric Neurosurgical Unit at the Edmond and Lily Safra Children's Hospital, and the staff of doctors at the Sheba Medical Center answered the call for help that had been published on an internet site to save a youth and saved the boy from the serious head injury from which he was suffering.

Following an injury from a stone hitting his head, the boy suffered from loss of a bone in his skull and required surgery as soon as possible.

Dr. Zeev Feldman performed the surgery (fixing the loss of skull bone) with great success. The boy recovered and returned to complete functioning and is receiving medical follow up at the hospital.

This incident is one of many in which the Sheba Medical Center has done everything possible to assist the Palestinian residents who cannot receive the medical treatment they need where they reside.
