Fundraising Evening For Children With Cancer
The initiative for the evening was a joint effort between the non profit organization ANAT and the hemato-oncology department at the Edmond and Lily Safra Children's Hospital at Sheba Medical Center.
The non-profit organization ANAT has existed for many years and takes care of children suffering from cancer in the hemato-oncology department at Sheba Medical Center. The organization has set as a goal the welfare of the sick children and helps finance the needs that arise from coping with a malignant illness.
According to Dr. Amos Toren, Director of the Children's Hemato-Oncology Department at Sheba: "All the money from the fundraising evening will go to the acquisition of an essential machine for the Children's Hemato-Oncology Institute that helps detect cancer cells in minute numbers in the patient's body."
The fundraising evening took place in early January at the Weil Center in Kfar Shemaryahu.
The evening was under the auspices of the head of Kfar Shemaryahu's council, Mr. Shmuel Ben Tovim.
