Renowned Artist Romero Britto Visits his Sculpture at Sheba

The Florida-based, Brazilian-born pop artist, Romero Britto, visited the Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer today to view his sculpture, "Welcome!," which commands the entrance to Sheba's rehabilitation hospital sculpture garden.

"Welcome" at Sheba by Romero Britto was dedicated in 2006 in honor of Dr. Anthony Michael Galea of Toronto, Canada, in recognition of his significant contribution to the development of rehabilitation medicine at Sheba and in recognition of his extraordinary devotion to the State of Israel. It was donated by the David Cynamon Family of Toronto. "This is a dream come true for me," said Britto upon visiting the hospital. "I am so thrilled to be contributing to the welfare of Israel and IDF soldiers."
