Friends Association Launched for the Sheba Heart Center

More than 300 guests attended the February 4 inaugural dinner and concert of the new "Friends Association for the Olga and Lev Leviav Heart Center at Sheba." Real estate developer (and Sheba donor) David Azrieli hosted the event at the 49th floor event space in Tel Aviv's swank Azrieli Center. The event was led by Friends Association founding chairman Adv. Eli Zohar and Heart Center director Prof. Michael Eldar.  Prominent participants included former Israeli ambassador to the UN Danny Gillerman and his wife Janice, MK Miri Regev, advertising magnate Moshe Theumim, p.r. guru Ronny Rahav, Superpharm owner Leon Koffler, Jenny and Adv. Hanina Brandis,  Judge Varda Alshaich, Sami Sagol, Yisrael Stier, Eurocom-Nokia CEO Ilan Grinboim and his wife Vered, and former police chief Gabi Last. The event featured a full-length benefit performance by legendary Israeli folk artist (and Israel Prize laureate) Yehoram Gaon, who donated his time. The event also launched a two-week-long publicity campaign for the Heart Center that was run in the Azrieli shopping mall through February 18.
