DF C-o-S Gantz Visits Wounded Soldiers at Sheba Medical Center

Lt. Gen. Benny Gantz visited wounded soldiers at the Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer on Friday. Many of the soldiers he met expressed the desire to return to their units as soon as possible. Gantz told them to "Take your time healing. Your job now is to get well and regain strength. You are in the best hands here at Sheba." Sheba director Prof. Zeev Rotstein told Gantz that many soldier lives were saved in the recent conflict through innovative medical technologies now in use by the IDF and through rapid evacuation of wounded by helicopter to a number of hospitals. More than 50 soldiers are still hospitalized at Sheba' acute care and rehabilitation hospitals, including two soldiers in serious condition.
