Passover Greetings

Dear Sheba Friends,
With Passover around the corner, I want to thank you all for the support and love you are giving us throughout the years.
Since last Passover 2015, we opened two new oncology departments, moved two pediatric departments to their new location in the Edmond and Lily Safra Children's Hospital, and we have laid the cornerstone for the new Immune-Oncology Institute.
We had outstanding research and clinical achievements such as Sheba's Prof. Gal Markel's success in isolating an antibody that will be used as the basis for treatment of advanced cancer patients. The big international pharmaceutical company "MERCK" has purchased the biomed company cCAM Biotherapeutics, which is based on Prof. Markel's innovative research..
The latest one was the technology transfer company of the Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer Medical Research, winning the tender to operate the Israeli Chief Scientist's incubator. Tel Hashomer's tender win goes in tandem with the vision of the Sheba Medical Center to be a leader in scientific and technological breakthroughs in a variety of medical fields that will take place in generations to come.
Just recently, a cooperation agreement for the construction of a huge hospital in West China was signed with the Chinese government, paving the road for medical cooperation between Sheba and China. This agreement was followed by an official visit of the deputy prime minister Liu Yandong to the Sheba Medical Center.
