Dr. Gabi Zeilig , Director of the Neurological rehabilitation Department at Sheba,has been appointed head of the department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Tel Aviv University

Dr. Gabi Zeilig, Director of the Neurological Rehabilitation Department at the Sheba's Rehabilitation Hospital, was appointed head of the department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Tel Aviv University.

 Zeilig is the Director of the Neurological Rehabilitation Dept. since 1999. Since he took over, the department   has grown significantly and absorbed more complex patients. He established the outpatient rehabilitation units and in recent years has led the process of integrating advanced technologies as part of the rehabilitation process.

 Dr. Zeilig recently opened ambulatory units specialized in the treatment of Parkinson's patients, neuro-oncology patients, and other movement disorders. These units have successfully proven the contribution of advanced technologies in successful rehabilitation.

Zeilig taught and mentored generations of rehab medicine interns and health professionals. In parallel, he invested much time in research; and results of his research were published in internationals journals and at national and international conferences.
