THE INTERNS

"The Interns", a new and exciting 7-part TV series is on air, produced by Keshet for Israel's Channel 2. Sheba Medical Center opened its doors, premises and facilities to the production company. The series was filmed last year at the hospital.

The main focus is on five surgical interns who are followed during their long and demanding shifts, learning how to take upon themselves new responsibilities, accumulate knowledge, surgical skills and professionalism, and cope with often complex and sometimes life threatening situations. They all are motivated by the hospital's special "Sheba Spirit" enrooted so deeply in each and everyone of the Sheba employees.

Touching human stories with special doctor/patient relations are exposed, intertwined with glimpses into the private life and day by day struggle of the interns.

You may want to compare this series to "Grey's Anatomy"…., but here we have real patients, real doctors and real-time action.
