LA Friends of Sheba Medical Center Celebrate 2017 Women of Achievement Luncheon

The people of LA came out in style to support the Friends of Sheba at the 2017 Women of Achievement Luncheon. The LA Friends of Sheba were delighted to present devoted Sheba supporters Deedee Sussman and Jenji Kohan with the Marjorie Pressman Legacy Award and the Women of Achievement Award respectively.

The luncheon brought together Sheba friends old and new to the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills. Guests were addressed by keynote speaker, Dr. Shani Paluch, the Head of the Breast Cancer Service for Young Women at Sheba Medical Centers' Oncology Institute

Dr. Paluch vividly talked about the lifesaving research taking place at Sheba, with an emphasis on reducing the severe impact of cancer treatment on patients. She thanked all Sheba’s international friends for the vital part they play in supporting this and all other Sheba research efforts.

Yoel Hareven, Chief of Staff, Sheba Medical Center; Professor Mordechai Shani, President of the Sheba Medical Center Research Fund and Director General Emeritus, Sheba Medical Center; Nina Lieberman, Executive Director, LA Sheba Friends, and Adi Hepner, Director of Development; as well as Parham Zar, LA Sheba Friends President, joined co-chairs Shoshana Djavaheri Zar & Adrian Miller in representing Sheba Medical Center at the Luncheon.
