Combating Cancer together

Over 30 members of the metro Houston, Texas community recently participated in an intimate parlor meeting at the home of Sarah and Denis Braham in Bellaire to benefit Sheba Medical Center.

Dr. Amir Onn, Chair, Department of Pulmonary Medicine at Sheba Medical Center and Program Director of the Sheba and MD Anderson Cancer Center Sister Institution Program, spoke about the dynamic partnership between Sheba Medical Center and Houston's MD Anderson in the fight against cancer.

Dr. Oded Sagiv, the Inaugural Mody Enav Fellow of Sheba Medical Center and Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, MD Anderson Cancer Center, gave a presentation on his current research and treatment modalities to preserve the eyes and save the vision of several of his patients. 

A special tribute was paid to Jonathan Enav, Chair of the Houston Friends of Sheba Advisory Board, on behalf of the Enav Family, for establishing the Mody Enav Fellowship Program in honor of Mody Enav, Z"L, his father. The fellowship supports physicians from Sheba to study and further their practice at MD Anderson Cancer Center.
