The Future is Now at Sheba
On Thursday, May 10, Dr. Eyal Zimlichman, Deputy Director General, Chief Medical Officer and Chief Innovation Officer at Sheba Medical Center, unveiled the fascinating details behind the hospital's new Innovation Center at an American Friends of Sheba event in Manhattan, which took place in the offices of law firm Schulte, Roth and Zabel.
Dr. Zimlichman's presentation, ‘A Look Into The Future of Medicine,’ showcased a future where patients will be greeted by virtual nurses and doctors will perform complicated surgical procedures with the use of robotics, and wearables, via which patients will be able to transmit crucial health information to their doctors from the comfort of their homes, including MRI results.
“It felt like we were listening to science fiction, but it was real. Dr. Zimlichman made all of us affiliated with Sheba Medical Center feel proud to be part of such an important endeavor,” said Peter Halasz, Chairman of the Board of the American Friends of Sheba Medical Center in New York.
