Research Interests:
Arnona Ziv is a graduate of the IDF Computer Specialists Training School (MAMRAM), in programming and systems analysis. Arnona completed five years of service at the Navy's computer and information center where she worked on programming and analyzing information systems.
Arnona received a B.A. in Economics and Business Administration from Bar-Ilan University, and an M.B.A. degree in Information Systems from Bar-Ilan University.
Arnona began her work as a programmer and systems analyst in 1988, in the Health Services Research unit of the Ministry of Health at the Sheba Medical Center. In 1991, she was appointed Director of the Informatics in the unit. In 2001, Arnona was appointed Head of the Informatics and Computerization unit at the Gertner Institute for Epidemiology and Health Policy Research, in the Sheba Medical Center.
Arnona is a data analyst with expertise in initiation, analysis and design of information systems, with specialization in health information systems, and building and maintaining of national registries and databases. Arnona has been involved in initiation and execution of many epidemiology research studies, surveys, intervention programs, clinical trials, and national health programs, within the Gertner Institute as well as for external organizations and researchers. She is the consultant for all the Gertner Institute's researchers and is responsible for all data management in the Institute.
