The Crisis Intervention Clinic serves patients and their families facing acute problems, providing a focused, multi-professional psychological and psychiatric response within a short time frame. The clinic provides a range of specific and time-limited treatments (typically around 6 weeks) to address various situations: life crises, adjustment difficulties, acute psychiatric disorders, school refusal, behavioural issues, and more.

Key details to be aware of

Admission to treatment at the clinic is determined on a weekly basis, without any waiting list.

To receive an invitation for an initial suitability assessment, please send a detailed application via email or fax.

Once you've scheduled your initial assessment, we'll send you an email containing questionnaires that need to be completed prior to your clinic visit. You also need to bring Form 17 to get a diagnosis through the health fund.

During the initial stage, one of our attending psychiatrists will carry out an assessment. We'll also conduct a compatibility test with the treatment plan at the Crisis Intervention Clinic. At the end of the assessment, we'll create a personalized treatment plan for you.

The treatment program typically lasts for around 6 weeks, and you will be scheduled for approximately 3 treatments per week, in the morning hours.

The treatment plan is tailored to each individual and includes psychiatric-pharmacological interventions, as well as individual and group treatments. It also involves maintaining contact with relevant community parties.

Once your treatment at the Crisis Intervention Clinic is complete, you will be referred for further care within the community (according to your health funds’ framework).

At an early stage in the process, we will provide recommendations for ongoing treatment in the community.

A friendly reminder: appointment times are non-flexible. We're unable to offer replacement appointments, and unfortunately, canceled appointments cannot be rescheduled.
