Prof. Dorit Zilberman started her professional career as an intern at the Sheba Medical Center in January 2000. She did her residency in the urology department at Sheba and later went to a two-year training at Duke University Medical Center, where she performed hundreds of surgeries with the assistance of the da Vinci robotic system as well as endoscopic surgeries for the treatment of kidney stones.
At the end of 2010, she returned to the urology department, and with the knowledge she gained in the US, she founded and built the field of robotic surgery in urology.
Since her return, thousands of surgeries have been performed with the help of the da Vinci system, most of them in the field of urology and most of them were led by her.
Over the years she has published many articles in this field as well as another field of her expertise - kidney stones.
Thanks to her many years of clinical and academic work, she was promoted to the rank of clinical associate professor in 2024.
