Dr. Elad Jacoby is a board certified pediatric hematologist and oncologist, and an expert in childhood leukemia and in CAR-T cells. Dr Jacoby leads clinical trials in advanced cellular therapies including CAR-T cells, first-in-human mitochondrial augmentation and anti-viral T-cells. Since 2016 he has assumed leadership roles in several advanced cell therapies at Sheba, including the trial of locally produced CD19 CAR T cell trial (NCT02772198); Mitochondrial Augmentation of HSPCs (first in human trial, NCT03384420) and other advanced cell therapy trials. He is active in many international collaborative studies in leukemia and CAR-T cell therapy.
Dr. Jacoby's group leads translational work in the field of CAR-T cell biology, leukemia resistance mechanisms, and mitochondrial metabolism of hematopoietic cells. Current lab projects focus on development of novel cell therapies and immunometabolism.
