Dr. Alon is the Head of the multidisciplinary center for Otolaryngology and Speech and Language pathology and Chairman of the Department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at the Sheba Medical Center. Dr. Alon completed his training in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, after which he proceeded to a complete a fellowship in Head and Neck Surgery and Microvascular Reconstruction with Dr. Mark Urken, a world renowned leader in the field.
Dr. Alon joined Sheba Medical Center in 2010 establishing a Head and Neck Microvascular unit and implementing new surgical techniques and technology including new microvascular technology, transoral robotic surgery and more. He is committed to improving the care of patients not just through his clinical work but is involved Nationally in advancing the field of Otolaryngology. He has served as the Secretary of the Israeli Head and Neck Oncology Society, the head of the Israeli Otolaryngology Board exams, and is currently the Secretary of the Israeli Society of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. He actively participates in National and International Conferences world wide.
