Intermediate Care Unit

The Intermediate Care Unit plays a vital role within the cardiac surgery department. Patients are admitted to the unit following an average stay of approximately 24 hours in intensive care, before being transferred to the ward for further treatment.

Throughout their time in our unit, patients are connected to devices that monitor vital indicators like blood pressure, heart rate, and more - 24/7.

During their stay, the nurse provides guidance to patients and their family members regarding post-operative care and offers assistance with any requests they may have.
Based on medical assessment, patients are transferred to the ward for further treatment.
