Iron Swords War patient results
Injured individuals from the Iron Swords War (both soldiers and civilians) being treated in various departments were invited to complete online PROMs questionnaires, which included an anxiety symptoms assessment, a depression symptoms assessment, and a questionnaire to evaluate post-traumatic symptoms.
Responses to the questionnaires are provided approximately three months after the injury, with follow-up questionnaires distributed subsequently. Each patient who receives a high score on one of the assessments is linked to resources for mental health treatment at one of the designated care centers. Civilians are referred to a telemedicine system managed by Sheba BEYOND, while security personnel are directed to the National Trauma Care Center. Additionally, the PROMs team conducts proactive phone calls to individuals who scored high on one of the questionnaires, encouraging them to seek treatment.
Approximately one-third of respondents among the patients suffering from depression, anxiety, or post-traumatic stress have been referred for professional care.
