Itamar Goldstein B.Sc. and M.D

Itamar Goldstein received his B.Sc. and M.D.
degrees from the Tel Aviv University-Sackler Faculty of Medicine, Israel. Dr. Goldstein was a Resident at the Department of Medicine, Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center and Sackler School of Medicine, from 1994-1998.
From 1999-to-2001 Dr. Goldstein was a post-doctoral fellow with Dr. Leonard Chess in Clinical Immunology / Rheumatology at the college of Physician and Surgeons of Columbia University in New York City.
He received a Postdoctoral Fellowship Award from the Arthritis Foundation (2002). From 2002-2004 he was appointed as a full faculty senior assoc. scientist and lecturer in medicine at Columbia University's NIH sponsored Autoimmunity Center of Excellence.
Dr. Goldstein has well-established expertise in the isolation and characterization of highly purified populations of T cells, hematopoietic stem cells, and cancer initiating "stem" cells. Dr. Goldstein has a notable publication track record including publications in high impact peer-reviewed journals. Since 2005 till present, Dr. Goldstein serves as the research director of the FACS core facility and Immunology program at the Sheba CRC.
