The clinic for medical psychology provides a professional response to children facing distress resulting from an illness, injury or physical symptom and their parents. Some of them are hospitalized in the wards or treated in the outpatient clinics and some are residents of the area.
The clinic's staff, which includes about 15 psychologists and therapists, knows how to deal with a variety of difficult and crisis situations, such as chronic or acute illness, unexplained physical symptoms, a new diagnosis, damage to body image, disability or limitation, medical trauma, fear of medical tests/needles, Compliance with medical treatment, encopheresis, burns and preparation for surgery/medical procedure. The treatments offered include parent guidance, online groups, individual therapy and art therapy.
