The Multidisciplinary Center for Vascular Anomalies

The Multidisciplinary Center for Vascular Anomalies offers state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic services for patients suffering from vascular anomalies, such as defects in blood and lymphatic vessels).

These anomalies can lead to asymmetrical overgrowth of bones and soft tissues, disrupting essential functions like swallowing and breathing. They may also result in cosmetic deformities and pain, significantly impairing quality of life. Some anomalies manifest during fetal development or immediately post-birth, while others emerge later, in adolescence or adulthood.
Recent years have seen incredible advances in how we diagnose and treat vascular anomalies. Sometimes, we may need to perform genetic tests, and treatments are tailored specifically to each patient. This will depend on how severe the condition is, what symptoms are present, and which part of the body is affected.

The complexity of the anomalies requires a multidisciplinary team with unique experience and expertise. Our integrated team at Sheba is designed to provide optimal care, and includes doctors and surgeons from a variety of specialties, including dermatology, radiology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, plastic surgery, diagnostic radiology, pediatric surgery, vascular surgery, neurosurgery, clinical genetics, hematology, oncology and even ENT.
