Pregnancy and childbirth are natural processes in a woman's body. We firmly believe that the experience of childbirth is a central and incredibly significant milestone in a woman's life and her family's. It's an experience of self-fulfilment and empowerment, one that you will always cherish and remember.

The Natural Birth Center is specially designed for women who envision a serene and intimate birthing experience, free from unnecessary medical intervention and pain medication whenever possible. During the birth process, you will be attended by a certified and proficient midwife from our natural birth team, ensuring optimal obstetric care, unwavering support, and expert assistance as needed. 

In April 2019, we opened a new center offering two natural birth rooms designed in a homely, pleasant and empowering atmosphere. The rooms include the latest equipment in the field - shower, physio ball, birthing stool, birthing pool, floor mattresses, birthing chair, dim lighting, options to play music, and more. All of these will allow you to deal with labor and give birth in varied positions according to your inclination: kneeling, side position, standing and even water birth. The highlight of the rooms is the huge cast bathtubs that were imported from abroad and specially adapted for water births.

The new natural birth center is located far from the regular delivery room and enjoys peace, privacy and close midwife support. The midwifery team goes above and beyond to create the perfect birthing experience for you, in a calm and relaxed atmosphere,  just like being at home, surrounded by caring and supportive individuals.  All while prioritizing the safety of both mother and baby.

During any stage of the birth process, including the waiting stage and in the delivery room, you can receive Chinese medicine treatments to ease pain and facilitate a smoother birth - completely free of charge.

We give utmost importance to the birth experience and the safety of the mother and baby. That's why we have established certain criteria for births that are suitable for a natural birth center. 

Who can give birth in a natural birth center?

Mother eligibility criteria: 

• History of normal childbirths without significant illnesses
• No previous hysterectomy
• Age at first birth must not exceed 45 years
• BMI (Body Mass Index) is less than 35 at birth
• Hemoglobin is higher than 9 (grams per deciliter) in the third trimester of pregnancy (from week 32 onwards)
• Platelet level over 90,000
• No blood clotting disorder or anticoagulant treatment during pregnancy
• No preeclampsia
• No gestational diabetes, unless it is balanced by diet only
• No abnormal bleeding or febrile illness

Pregnancy  eligibility criteria: 

• Birth typically occurs between weeks 36 and 42.
• Positioning of the placenta permits vaginal delivery.
• Labor commences naturally, without any indications necessitating expedited delivery.

Fetal status:

• Presentation: Head first
• Weight: 2.5-4 kg

When you arrive at the birthing room emergency room with signs of labor, please inform the midwifery team about your preference to give birth in the Natural Birth Center. To access the natural birthing room, you must go through a medical admission process. This ensures that your pregnancy is progressing normally and is at the right stage for giving birth.
