The Institute of Pediatric Cardiology, housed in the Edmond and Lily Safra Children's Hospital, is a comprehensive medical facility that specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart defects in fetuses, infants, children and adults. Our services also cover congenital and acquired heart diseases, myocardial diseases, heart failure and pulmonary hypertension, arrhythmias, heart failure, chest pains, difficulty with exertion, unexplained loss of consciousness, and more.

The Center offers a diverse range of services, units, and clinics, ensuring that all diagnostic and treatment procedures are conveniently conducted under one roof. These include the Children's Heart Center, the Pediatric Heart Surgery Unit, the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care department, Cardiology clinics, Enhanced Home Monitoring, the Interstage Clinic, the Non-invasive Cardiology Unit, the Pediatric Heart Catheterization Service, Fetal Echocardiography, Arrhythmia Clinic, Clinic for Adults with Congenital Heart Defects, Heart Transplants, Cardiogenetics Clinic, Sports and Healthy Lifestyle, Noonan Syndrome Clinic (in collaboration with the Pediatric Endocrinology Unit), Familial Dysautonomia and CCSH Clinics (in collaboration with the Lung Clinic), Behavioral Genetics Clinic - Williams Syndrome, 22Q (D George) and VCFS (in collaboration with the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Unit), and the Pediatric Cardiology Anesthesia service.

The center also has a team of the Educational-Emotional service that includes a teacher, an educational support assistant, and a psychotherapist. Among other tasks, they assist with medical procedures, like preparing for a clinic visit (meeting with children and families, explaining what to expect during the visit), and helping hospitalized individuals with blood tests, infusion setups, imaging tests, and more. The mediation is conducted in a relaxed atmosphere, using unique methods and hands-on experience while sharing knowledge about the expected procedure.

Our center's unique structure creates optimal conditions for treatment, even in very challenging cases, to ensure maximum comfort for patients and their loved ones. The waiting area is welcoming and colorful and equipped with games and TV screens to create a pleasant and relaxing ambience.

Our Centre's team truly understands the profound impact of a child's heart disease on the family routine. We recognize the complex emotional state, the anxiety, and the need for specialized treatment, constant supervision, and frequent hospital visits. That's why we provide not only professional and high-quality care but also personal and dedicated treatment, together with access to an emotional and practical support system to help parents and children deal with these challenges.
