Our unit coordinates care for a wide variety of children and adults with congenital metabolic diseases (genetic biochemistry).
The unit's team also consults with various departments in the hospital and provides day hospitalization in the framework of the pediatric emergency medicine department. Our unit works closely with all subspecialties at Sheba to offer excellent service to our patients, including molecular and biochemical diagnosis.
Moreover, our unit has a research laboratory and is involved in research collaborations both in Israel and around the world.
