The Department of Pediatric Surgery specializes in performing surgeries on children between the ages of 0 and 18. Our dedicated team offers a comprehensive range of surgical specialties, encompassing general surgery, orthopedics, hand surgery, urology, neurosurgery, ENT, and plastic surgery. Equipped with advanced facilities, we are proficient in managing intricate procedures, including cancerous growth removal, birth defect correction, treatment of excessive sweating, and bariatric surgeries for weight loss.

Located within the renowned Sheba Medical Center, the Department of Pediatric Surgery is recognized as one of the top ten worldwide. The surgical team consists of experienced senior doctors who utilize state-of-the-art medical equipment. The department also has a dedicated support staff, including nurses, dietitians, social workers, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and medical secretaries. Together, they provide comprehensive and high-quality care to children, prioritizing their well-being and recovery.

Recently renovated, the department offers spacious and comfortable rooms of exceptional quality to ensure a pleasant stay for patients.

We have a unique and comprehensive system in place to prepare children for surgeries. Our department offers extensive support to both the child and the family, which is unmatched in the country. Trained teachers provide age-appropriate emotional and pedagogical preparation for the surgery. Children engage in various activities such as watching virtual reality videos and creating artwork with medical accessories to help them understand what to expect. Our dedicated teachers continue to support the children even after the surgery, assisting them during medical procedures that may cause concern. We also provide a support group for parents, offering psychological guidance and tools to cope with their child's hospitalization.

Additionally, we offer complementary medicine treatments like Shiatsu and Tuina to reduce tension, anxiety, and pain before and after the surgery. Our goal is to create a pleasant and comfortable environment where children can alleviate their anxieties and prepare for surgery.
