The Physiotherapy Department at the Orthopedic Rehabilitation Center specializes in helping amputees and providing treatment to patients with multiple injuries, which pose unique rehabilitation challenges.
The patient population is diverse and includes elderly people suffering from vascular diseases as well as young people injured in road accidents or military activity.
Physiotherapy aims to help patients regain maximum function after an injury. The treatment involves increasing range of motion, strengthening muscles, improving stability and balance, and practising walking and various functions.
The care for patients following limb amputation revolves around finding the right fit for the prosthesis, mastering walking, and practicing functional movements with it. The prosthesis fitting is done in close collaboration with the doctors and the skilled technician who crafted it.
Our physiotherapy team works closely with the innovative walking laboratory of the medical center, as well as the virtual reality laboratory, where patients can practice advanced motor functions using the most advanced technology of its kind in the world.
The physiotherapy team is also responsible for providing hydrotherapy treatments to hospitalized patients in the department.
After completing the rehabilitation process, our physical therapy team will refer patients to the appropriate setting for further treatment. Additionally, we'll make sure to follow up on the fit and comfort of your prosthesis when you're back to your full, active life.
