Pregnancy Diabetes Clinic

Our clinic is dedicated to providing specialized care for women diagnosed with gestational diabetes, whether they require dietary management or medication. Treatment is offered by a team of professionals, including a gynecologist with expertise in diabetes, an endocrinologist specializing in pregnant women, and a dietitian.

Gestational diabetes is usually diagnosed during the second half of pregnancy, and is characterized by a relative intolerance to sugars.
This condition can impact both the mother and the newborn, so it's important to maintain balanced sugar levels throughout pregnancy. 

Treatment involves following an appropriate diet, while the woman self-monitors her blood glucose levels using a glucometer provided by the clinic. Some women may also require medication, like insulin.

Follow-up is conducted in a high-risk pregnancy clinic.
