Contacting the Joint Commission International (JCI)

Accreditation is a structured process of examining all components of a hospital in relation to its goals, objectives, work plans, and procedures, with the aim of improving the quality and safety of patient care.
The accreditation process is conducted by an independent, external international body, the Joint Commission International (JCI).

You can contact the JCI to report issues related to patient safety and the quality of care.
Reports to the JCI should be sent via email to JCIQuality@jcrinc.com and should include the following information:
•    Name of the medical center
•    Full address of the medical center
•    Description of the event or issue concerning patient safety and quality of care
•    Date of the event
•    A brief description of the event (in English, up to 3 pages)
•    Due to medical confidentiality, please do not provide any identifying information (e.g., full name or ID number).
