Dr. Tamar Hod serves as the head of the Transplant Nephrology Unit, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to her role. She completed a research fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard University and earned her fellowship in Transplant Nephrology at Brigham and Women's Hospital, also affiliated with Harvard University in Boston, where she actively participated in clinical research. Presently, she continues to engage in extensive clinical research alongside her clinical responsibilities in the field of transplant nephrology.
Research Interests:
Identifying predictive factors for renal allograft function in renal transplant recipients.
Enhancing the clinical diagnosis of over and under immunosuppression.
Investigating persistent hyperparathyroidism and bone disease in renal transplant recipients.
Studying long-term renal function and quality of life in kidney donors.
Exploring dyslipidemia in renal transplant recipients.
