Tamar Fisher, Ph.D

Dr. Fisher received her M.Sc. (with special distinction) and her Ph.D. degrees from the Department of Life Sciences, Bar-Ilan University, Ramat-Gan, Israel.  She was awarded the Dean's Scholarship of Distinction, Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Bar-Ilan University (for Ph.D. students) on two occasions.

Dr. Fisher was a researcher at the Laboratory of Ecology and Physiology of Invertebrates, Faculty of Life Sciences, Bar-Ilan University. Her research focused on phylogenetic analysis using molecular tools.

Today, Dr. Fisher is the manager of the Research Laboratory of Pediatric Oncology and Stem Cell Transplantation. Her recent studies have focused on the anti-tumoral molecular mechanisms of 'new drugs' on glioblastoma cell lines and molecular characterization of human stem cells from various sources.
