The Prenatal Unit (obstetrics) specializes in assessing maternal factors that may affect the course of pregnancy, such as cervical screening tests to detect signs of cervical insufficiency, assessment of the uterine cervix (for birth defects) or evaluation of previous uterine scarring.

All screening tests for evaluating the structure and condition of the fetus, are available to the general public.

These tests include:

Nuchal Translucency test - a screening test in which the thickness of the fluid band at the nape of the neck is measured, which is a marker for the development of Down's syndrome and other disorders. This test is performed with an abdominal and vaginal approach in weeks 0+11 - 6+13 of pregnancy.

First ultrasound scan  - A detailed evaluation that examines the integrity of fetal organs. The examination is typically performed in a transabdominal approach during weeks 14-16 of pregnancy.

Late Pregnancy Ultrasound Scan - A comprehensive evaluation that assesses the integrity of fetal organs. The examination is typically performed in a transvaginal approach during weeks 22-23 of pregnancy.

Fetal echocardiography - an ultrasound examination that focuses on the structure and function of the heart. This test is usually performed in cases where there is a concern of a heart defect (detected in the review of the systems) or in women with an increased risk of heart defects.

3D imaging of the fetus.

Targeted system review - review of a particular system in advanced gestational ages.

Growth trackers.

Doppler and color Doppler tests.

In certain cases, female patients are also referred for MRI examinations during pregnancy.

When necessary, certain tests are conducted in collaboration with consultants from various fields, including pediatric cardiologists, pediatric neurologists, and pediatric nephrologists, among others.
