The Genetic Laboratory performs molecular screening tests to identify disease-causing mutations in healthy populations, prenatal tests (placental cysts, amniocentesis and non-invasive maternal blood tests), pre-implantation diagnoses, family testing toward identifying rare genetic diseases, unique tests to detect cancer-related mutations, blood karyotype testing, molecular chromosomal tests and bioinformative analysis of chip and exome results.

In addition, the lab performs biochemical tests for pregnant women in their first and second trimesters.

The lab is certified by the National Laboratory Accreditation Authority in compliance with the medical laboratory standard ISO 15189.
