Dr. Alon Kaplan, MD-PhD, has been an internal medicine resident at Sheba Medical Center since 2021. He earned both his MD and PhD in Epidemiology from Ben-Gurion University, focusingon randomized controlled trials that assess the eff ects of long-term lifestyle changes on brain health. Dr. Kaplan plans to subspecialize in cardiology and is actively involved in the pericardial disease clinic. His research focuses on diet, health outcomes, and cardiovascular primaryprevention, and he has authored over 40 peer-reviewed publications on these topics. His contributions to research and education have been recognized with several awards, including the Excellence in Research Award and the Outstanding Teaching Award from Ben-Gurion University
