Areas of Expertise: Retinal organoids, patient derived models, retinal degeneration

Research Interests:

My research focuses on finding a treatment for retinal degenerative diseases. In the translational lab we generate patient-derived iPSC-RPE models and retinal organoids to decipher the underlying mechanisms of the disease and develop treatments. We are developing innovative gene therapy delivery systems, and use high throughput screening approaches for drug discovery.

In the clinical lab I am using the novel Chromatic Pupilloperimetry technology to map the neuronal circuits affected in patients with brain and eye neurodegeneration diseases.
