Bone health clinic for people with disabilities
Clinic hours:
Mondays, 10:30-13:30
Location:
The Rehabilitation Building, Floor -1
Our clinic focuses on diagnosing, preventing, and treating osteoporosis in the disabled community as a whole, with a specific emphasis on spinal cord injuries.
A rehab specialist conducts a clinical evaluation to assess bone health and the risk of osteoporotic fractures. They provide recommendations for preventing bone loss, falls, and fractures. In addition to the initial assessment, the clinic offers ongoing follow-ups to reassess risks and treatment effectiveness. Patients receive guidance on nutrition, behaviour, medication, and physical activities.
