The hemato-oncology clinic treats more than 2,000 children, adolescents and young adults from Israel and the world every year, who are sick with diseases such as hematological malignancies, non-malignant hematological diseases, brain tumors, bone tumors, soft tissue tumors, kidney tumors, and rare childhood tumors. In addition, she treats patients who have undergone a bone marrow transplant. The purpose of the clinic is to provide patients with professional, high-quality and safe care based on strict international standards.

The team includes senior doctors specializing in pediatric hemato-oncology who work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team from the Safra Children's Hospital and the General Hospital. In addition, the clinic has an accompanying team that includes social workers, psychologists, art and music therapists, a professional teaching team and family companions (a unique role whose main role is to assist in administration, providing additional information about the diagnosis and treatment, passing messages between patient-oncologist, providing emotional support and empowering the patient and his family). In addition, dedicated coordinators for bone marrow transplants and an administrative coordinator work at the clinic to assist patients in making appointments for imaging tests, medical procedures and the multidisciplinary clinics to which they are referred.

The team's approach is systemic and holistic and addresses the medical, emotional, social and educational needs of the child and his family throughout the process.

The clinic also operates an information center that is responsible for collecting professional medical material on any disease and making it accessible to patients. He also directs patients to additional sources of information if necessary.

In the clinic's waiting area are food services, television, play and activity spaces, classrooms and more. Medical clowns and service girls help patients and their families pass the time pleasantly.
