In our clinic, patients with CLL undergo a range of diagnostic tests to ensure accurate diagnosis. These may include blood count, antigen markers, genetic profiling, cytogenetic evaluation, along with ZAP-70 and biopsy histology subtypes.
The treatment includes orally administered drugs, such as ibrutinib and venetoclax, or combination chemotherapy regimens that include rituximab (Mabthera®), obinutuzumab (GAZYVA®) and others, some of them in a research setting.
The clinic’s team also conducts studies with innovative and advanced generations of ibrutinib derivatives and antibodies.
The clinic's director, Dr. Ohad Benjamini, has a specialisation in CLL at MD Anderson, one of the world's leading cancer centers. He trained under the guidance of Dr. Michael J. Keating, a senior physician in the field of CLL who also developed the drug fludarabine - the first drug capable of curing the disease.
