The wonderful complementary medicine clinic at the Gynecology and Maternity Center specializes in gynecological and fertility treatments using natural and complementary methods. It's an integral part of Sheba Medical Center's complementary medicine service. Chinese medicine, renowned for its vast expertise in female medicine, takes center stage at our clinic. Since its establishment by Aviv Messinger, one of Israel's most esteemed Chinese medicine practitioners, it has been offering a comprehensive range of treatments including acupuncture, herbal remedies, tuina, and nutritional advice.

Our clinic provides care for women who are hospitalized and giving birth in the wing, as well as patients in outpatient clinics and from the community. Our aim is to offer complementary care and assistance for the following conditions:

Gynecology: Irregular periods, no menstruation (amenorrhea), polycystic ovaries, endometriosis, premenstrual syndrome (PMS).

Gynecological pain: endometriosis, premenstrual syndrome (PMS), vestibulitis, vulodynia.

Fertility: Female infertility: problems with ovulation, scanty menstruation ( hypomenorrhoea), unexplained infertility, low ovarian response, thin endometrium, recurrent miscarriages, ovarian hyperstimulation, accompanying hormonal treatments and in vitro fertilization (IVF).

Male infertility: low sperm count, problems with sexual function, treatment of inflammations and infections.

Treatment during pregnancy: pain during pregnancy, early labor, nausea and vomiting during pregnancy, preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, fetal inversion, induction of labor. The complementary medicine services have also expanded to the maternity department, the monitoring unit, the maternity ward, and the outpatient clinics. In this way, the Sheba Medical Center provides a comprehensive response to the entire field of midwifery - prenatal, during and after delivery, with acupuncture treatments and touch to various areas.

Menopause: hot flashes, sweating, sleep problems, dryness, mood changes.

The clinic collaborates closely with the medical staff of the departments and clinics in the Gynecology and Maternity Center. This ensures professional and responsible treatment, all under the supervision and support of Sheba doctors.
