Complementary medicine encompasses a vast array of 150 diverse treatment methods originating from various corners of the globe. At Sheba's Complementary and Integrated Medicine Clinic, we have carefully selected only the most effective treatments, supported by scientific evidence and accumulated clinical experience.

You can explore techniques like acupuncture, Chinese herbs and nutrition, Tuina, medical hypnosis, biofeedback, homeopathy, reflexology, shiatsu, naturopathy, chiropractic, the Feldenkrais method, the Paula method, and more.

When should you get in touch with the clinic?

From acute situations which are still reversible and can be improved, all the way to chronic conditions such as recurring inflammations, allergies, various types of pain, respiratory issues (bronchitis, asthma), digestive tract disorders, skin diseases, gynecological problems such as premenstrual syndrome, menopause, and more.

Treatment procedure

Every patient who comes to the clinic will first undergo an initial examination and diagnosis by an M.D physician. Based on the findings, the doctor will then refer them to the appropriate treatment. Our medical team will closely monitor the progress of the treatment and evaluate its results using scientific tools.

Pain management

In recent years, there has been an increase in scientific publications examining the efficacy of various therapeutic approaches in managing pain. For instance, the American National Institute (National Institute of Health - NIH) has published recommendations on the use of hypnosis as a treatment for pain associated with malignant diseases. Additionally, supporting evidence has emerged regarding the effectiveness of chiropractic treatments for acute and subacute lower back pain. Other interventions, such as IMS acupuncture and posture improvement strategies like Feldenkrais, Alexander, or the Paula method, have also shown promise for individuals suffering from musculoskeletal pain, such as lower back pain.

1998, a subsequent NIH opinion was published, indicating the efficacy of acupuncture in alleviating postoperative and chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting. The same opinion also suggests the potential to incorporate acupuncture in the management of various conditions including addictions, stroke rehabilitation, headaches, asthma, and certain musculoskeletal disorders.

Why come to Sheba for treatment?

Complementary medicine, while natural, raises the question of safety. While many believe it to be safe, it's important to note possible risks such as herb side effects and poisoning. Even contact treatments can lead to serious harm, as a result of manipulations, if performed by unskilled hands. In addition to treatment risks, it's crucial to consult both a conventional and complementary medicine doctor for proper diagnosis. This helps detect any health conditions or diseases before initiating treatment.
