The delivery rooms are the beating heart of Sheba Maternity. Our professional and skilled team is here 24/7, ready to ensure a safe and delightful birth experience for you, the mother, your loved ones, and the little one who will soon make an appearance.

We truly value your birth experience. That's why our team of doctors, midwives, nurses, and brothers undergoes extensive training and continuous education.

As a part of our dedication to delivering exceptional care, we've renovated and equipped all delivery rooms in our department with state-of-the-art technologies. You can rest assured that each room is fully equipped and prepared for any type of birth. We provide a comfortable armchair for the birth companion, and you'll find a shower and toilet in every room. We even allow expectant mothers to have the presence of two companions according to their wishes.

Smart rooms

Some of the rooms in our department are what we like to call smart rooms, offering a truly one-of-a-kind birth experience that incorporates multimedia, mindfulness, and more. We've put a lot of thought into creating our smart birthing room, so you and your companion can have a delightful and comfortable stay.

Personal attention

Whilst our department has one of the highest annual birth rates in the country, we take great pride in offering individualized, warm, and inclusive care to every mother in the delivery room. We understand that each mother has her own unique style, requirements, and preferences. You can trust us to be attentive and prioritize the safety of both you and your precious newborn.

Fetal monitoring

In every delivery room, you will find a sophisticated fetal monitor, which monitors the fetal heartbeat (an important measurement, although not the only one for fetal wellbeing) . The monitor is displayed not only in your room but also in adjacent rooms, anonymously, and while maintaining medical privacy. In addition, the fetal recording is also displayed on a central screen, so at any given moment, the team can monitor and respond promptly.

Various ways to find relief in the delivery room

We warmly encourage you to select the birthing position and relief methods that feel most suitable for you in the delivery room. These options include maintaining mobility, using exercise balls (physio), enjoying showers and hot tubs, using laughing gas, as well as pethidine (a sedative) administered intravenously or via an epidural.

What’s more, we offer complimentary complementary medicine services and acupuncture, which can help in promoting childbirth. Each option comes with professional medical care to ensure a successful and safe delivery journey.
