The Orthopedic division at Sheba covers a wide range of specialisations, including joint replacements, spine surgery, foot and ankle surgery, hand surgery, shoulder surgery, pediatric orthopedics, sports medicine, oncologic orthopedics, and trauma.
As part of Sheba’s orthopedic system, we perform thousands of procedures each year under general and partial anesthesia. On top of that, we also engage in ongoing teaching activities in various fields and professions, as well as conducting research.
Our team consists of highly skilled doctors and specialized nursing staff. We work closely with a diverse and collaborative multidisciplinary team, which includes doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, support staff, health insurance coordinators, and community volunteers. Our patient-centered approach means we prioritize the needs of our patients and their families, both within and outside the hospital system.
Our goal is to promote high-quality care and strive for excellence in nursing and medical treatment at all times. Patient well-being is one of the key principles that guides our professional practice across different health conditions and levels of wellness. As a team, we're are fully dedicated to enhancing your health and ensuring your physical and mental wellbeing.
When it comes to our nursing works, we use a delegation method where each nurse is assigned a certain number of patients during their shift. They are also supported by skilled support personnel. This approach allows us to offer personalized guidance before and after surgery, as well as during rehabilitation. It contributes to strengthening the nurse-patient relationship and ensures patients receive the necessary personal care and follow-up for ongoing treatment.
Throughout their stay in the hospital, the nurse takes on the role of a manager, guiding and directing treatment based on the patient's needs. They also facilitate discharge or additional rehabilitation as needed. Department management focuses on fostering the team's growth, ensuring consistency, and promoting personal excellence to advance comprehensive treatment.
To enhance their comfort and mobility, we offer patients a diverse range of orthopedic assistive equipment, including wheelchairs, devices for joint mobilization, and more.
